Privacy Notice

Who we are
Checkipay Limited is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at team@checkipay.com, which is the fastest route for any question or request about your data.
We are not authorised to provide payment services and do not provide them. This notice therefore covers one thing only: the contact details you choose to leave on this website.
What we collect
When you submit the form on this site, we receive:
- The email address you type. This is the only field we ask for.
- Technical details that accompany the request: the time of submission, your browser’s user-agent string, and the page you submitted from. These help us tell genuine submissions from automated ones.
- Your IP address, which reaches the platform that hosts this site and sits in its request logs for a short period. We do not use it to identify you or to build a profile; it is there so the host can detect abuse and so we can investigate a fault.
We do not ask for your name, your company, your address or your phone number, and there is nowhere on this site to give them to us.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies, embeds no third-party scripts and runs no analytics or advertising tags. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything. If we add analytics later, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your address for a single purpose: to write to you once, when the closed pilot opens, and to reply if you write back. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time and we will delete the address.
We do not add you to a newsletter, we do not send marketing about anything else, and we do not build a profile from your address.
Who else sees it
Three kinds of provider are involved, each acting as our processor and each bound to use the data only on our instructions: the platform that hosts and serves this site, the service that receives the submission and holds the waiting list, and the provider that sends the one message. None of them may use it for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent or share your address, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.
Where a processor stores data in another country, we rely on the safeguards the applicable data protection law requires for such a transfer, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Until the pilot opens and we have written to you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the project is discontinued, we delete the list rather than keep it. In any case we review the list at least once a year and remove addresses we no longer have a reason to hold.
Your rights
Under the data protection law that applies to you, you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can also object to our use of it and withdraw consent at any time. Exercising any of these rights costs nothing and we will respond within one month.
Write to team@checkipay.com. Because we hold only an email address, we will normally act on a request sent from that same address without asking you for further identification.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority for the country where you live or work.
Changes to this notice
This site is still in development, so this notice will change as the product does. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we use an address we already hold, we will write to you about it before it takes effect.
